The Neptun 401 cargo ship series , also known as the Hans Krüger series, is a very variable type of general cargo from the Rostock shipyard "Neptun".
history
The basis of the type were the slightly smaller series Neptun 381 and Neptun 371 . The ships largely correspond to the type Neptun 388 from 1974 and Neptun 403 from 1976/77. The series was manufactured in 1976 in two units. The ships, which can be designed as either full-deck or free-deck, are primarily intended for the combined transport of general cargo, containers, heavy cargo, wood, bulk cargo, but also fruit and sweet oil .
The first ship and namesake of the series was the Hans Krüger launched on November 28, 1976 with hull number 401. Hans Krüger , initially based in Singapore , was renamed several times, most recently in 2002 to Spica . On April 14, 2003, the ship last sailing under the flag of St. Vincent and Grenadines was removed from the register. The second and last ship in this series was Annemarie Krüger , which was also commissioned under the Singapore flag and was canceled as Megah Jaya in China from February 2001 after several renaming .
technology
The ships were powered by a 6620 kW two-stroke diesel engine of the type K9Z 60/105 E manufactured under MAN license from the manufacturer VEB Maschinenbau Halberstadt, which acts directly on a fixed propeller. The machine system is set up for largely automated operation.
The hulls with bulbous bow are joined together in a sectional construction. The living and working area of the aft deck superstructure, equipped with individual chambers, is air-conditioned.
The three holds with a volume of 20,189 m 3 grain space and 18,200 m 3 bale space have tween decks , the holds are closed with MacGregor hatch covers. In addition, 108 m 3 of refrigerated cargo and 383 m 3 of fresh oil and 336 containers or 3922 standard wood can be transported. The loading gear consists of three 16-ton swing booms , two 25-ton cranes and a swing-through 150-ton heavy-lift boom .
