Neris Germanas (born December 7, 1946 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and politician ( Vice Minister ).

Life

From 1953 to 1964 he studied at the Šiauliai grammar school and the 15th Vilnius Middle School in Žvėrynas . From 1964 to 1970 he studied physics at the Polytechnic Institute in Leningrad . From 1972 to 1978 he was a research assistant at the research institute, from 1985 to 1988 he worked for the Communist Party of Lithuania , from 1988 to 1989 as an assistant to Algirdas Brazauskas , from 1989 member of the Democratic Labor Party of Lithuania , from 2001 of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party .

From 1992 to 1996 he was a member of Seimas , from 1998 ambassador to Finland , then department director of a department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . Since December 14, 2012, he has been Deputy Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius (in the Butkevičius cabinet ).
