Gediminas Šerkšnys

Gediminas Šerkšnys (born February 11, 1948 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian diplomat .

Life

After graduating from the Aleksonis Middle School in Žaliakalnis , he studied biophysics at the Kauno medicinos institutas in 1972 and received his doctorate in technical cybernetics in 1979 . He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Energy Problems in Kaunas and from 1981 to 1988 at the Institute for Cardiology in Kaunas, then at "Baltic Amadeus". From 1990 he was a member of the Seimas , from 1991 to 1993 Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania , 1992 Minister without portfolio , from 1997 Ambassador .
