Nerys Jones (born November 30, 1984 ) is a former British biathlete .

Life

Nerys Jones reached its first national success at the British Championships in 2008 , where they face the future squad relay race alongside Olwen Thorn and Leah Coxon as well as their team, with the women AGC Ladies , Sarah Hadley , Laura Craig and Amanda Lightfoot in the military patrol finished third. In the team competition, the AGC Ladies , alongside Jones Lightfoot, Hadley and Anna Barker , were runner-up behind the RLC Ladies team.

In the following year, she achieved a placement on the silver rank again with Mel Vaggers and Lightfoot in the season, also in the team she was second with Lightfoot, Vaggers and Carly Hudson .

In 2010 Jones also achieved her breakthrough in the individual competitions. In both the sprint and the mass start, she finished third behind Emma Fowler and Lightfoot. Jones won silver again with the season at the side of Vaggers and Lightfoot, in the team competition, which also included Leonie Hendrickson , she won her first title. After the good national championships, Jones was also used internationally for the first time.

Her first races in the IBU Cup were in Martell , where she was 52nd and 47th in the pursuit. The first major event was the 2010 Biathlon European Championships in Otepää , where Jones finished 47th in the individual, 49th in the sprint and 44th in the pursuit.

After the 2014-15 season , Jones ended her career.
