With the British relay, she took 21st place alongside Adele Walker , Emma Fowler and Alanda Scott . Later in the year, the Briton also took part in the 2009 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof and took 42nd place in the sprint on roller skis and As a lapped runner did not reach the goal in the pursuit race. In the 2009/10 season she achieved 71st place in a sprint in Kontiolahti, her best result for a long time in the World Cup and confirmed this placement at the start of the 2010/11 season in an individual in Östersund . In the further course of the season it was able to increase steadily. At the season highlight, the 2011 Biathlon World Championships , she not only achieved her best placement in a World Cup race as 34th of the individual, but also won World Cup points for the first time. It was also the first world cup points won by a British woman in biathlon. Before that, she took part in the sprint race and qualified there as 54th for the pursuit, which she could not finish as a lapped runner. With Walker, Lee-Steve Jackson and Pete Beyer , she was also 19th with the mixed relay. She attracted attention in the biathlon world cup in the mixed relay in Nové Město na Moravě, where she was the leader in the first shooting. This was the first time a British relay team led a World Cup race. After taking a penalty while standing, the relay fell back.

The following year she was runner-up in the squadron and team and third in the individual and with the military patrol. In 2009 she also won silver with the military patrol and in the team competition. Her nationally most successful year was 2010 when she won the title in individual, sprint and team competition as well as winning silver in the relay and in the mass start.
