Lee-Steve Jackson (born April 20, 1980 in Stockton-on-Tees ) is a former British biathlete .

Lee-Steve Jackson, most recently a sports soldier with the rank of Lance Corporal with the 41st Regiment, the Green Howards , is divorced and has a son and a daughter. Jason Sklenar was coach until 2010 , after which he worked without a coach. Jackson has been biathlon since 1998 and has been part of the UK national team since 1999. The Englishman made his first major international appearances in 1999 at the Junior World Championships in Pokljuka , and he achieved just as little results as he did a year later in Hochfilzen .

In the men's area Jackson made his debut in 2002 in a relay race in Kontiolahti as part of the Biathlon European Championships in 2002 , which he finished 12th. At the beginning of the 2002/03 season he also made his debut in the Biathlon World Cup . Here too, the first race was a relay race, which he finished in last place alongside Mark Gee , Sklenar and Marc Walker . In the following sprint he reached 103rd place. In the following years Jackson often started in the World Cup, he also competed in the European Cup again and again. The first world championships were the 2004 biathlon world championships in Oberhof , where Jackson was 102nd in the individual. Better it ran in 2005 in Hochfilzen with the ranks 99 in singles and 68 in the sprint. The results at the 2007 World Championships in Antholz balanced out with 75th place in both the individual and the sprint. In Östersund the English competed for the fourth time at a World Cup and finished 94th in the individual and 79th in the sprint. The 2009 World Cup in Pyeongchang was unfortunate . After he was still comparatively well in the race in the sprint before the second shooting, Jackson had to end the race after his rifle had a defect and no replacement rifle from the British Association was available. With the season he ran to 25th place. Jackson was the only biathlete in Great Britain at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In the sprint he finished 55th and thus qualified for the pursuit competition, which he finished in 56th place. In February 2011 Jackson reached 17th place in a single race in Osrblie and thus his best result in the IBU Cup to date. A few days later he was able to improve his best performance in Bansko to 15th place. In March 2011 Jackson reached the 48th place in the sprint race at the Biathlon World Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk . A few days later he was able to improve this result in the subsequent pursuit to 47th place. At the same time, it was Jackson's best results in the World Cup up to the 2015 World Championships in Kontiolahti, where he was 39th in singles and was the only time in his career in the points.

At national championships, Jackson was one of the most successful British biathletes in recent years. In 2002 he won silver three times, in the individual, with the relay and in the team as well as bronze with the military patrol, in 2003 he won the bronze medal in the relay race. In 2006 silver was added in the sprint, bronze in the mass start and relay race, and in 2008 Jackson won the individual and sprint titles . The following year silver was added in the sprint.
