St. Jakobi

In 1878 the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church Congregation (SELK) St. Jakobi was founded. The services initially took place in a barn that was converted into an emergency church. In March 1879 the foundation stone was laid for today's church, which the young congregation inaugurated on July 9, 1879. In the fall of 1887 a rectory with an outbuilding was built. In 1929 the church building was extensively renovated and the roof turret was replaced by a tower. The church burned down on February 15, 1932 and was rebuilt that same year. In 1968 the old rectory was demolished and a new one was consecrated on January 26, 1969. On December 21, 1996, the congregation celebrates the consecration service of a new organ.

Pastor of the St. Jakobi congregation has been Pastor Christian Tiedemann since 2015

Courtyard 6

In 1989 and 1990, an old granary was removed from courtyard 6 and rebuilt true to the original in the handicraft museum in Suhlendorf. Today it houses handicrafts that are threatened with extinction, such as B. a shoemaker's workshop and a pottery.
