Netta Duchâteau

Netta Duchâteau (born December 21, 1910 in Namur , † May 24, 1994 in Monaco ) was a Belgian beauty queen.

Duchâteau was born the daughter of an engineer. She was elected Miss Belgium on September 7, 1930 . In February 1931 she took part in the Miss Europe election. On June 16, 1931, she was named Miss Universe in Galveston (Texas) as the first Belgian woman .

She then worked as an actress in several films and became known as the face of Miss Belga in advertisements for the cigarette manufacturer Belga .
