Until 1975, Nettesheim-Butzheim was a municipality in what was then the Grevenbroich district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Today Nettesheim-Butzheim is a district of the municipality of Rommerskirchen in the Rhine district of Neuss .

Nettesheim-Butzheim consists of the two closely spaced Rommerskirchen districts of Butzheim and Nettesheim and is located northeast of the center of Rommerskirchen. The former municipality of Nettesheim-Butzheim had an area of ​​9.25 km².

history

Butzheim was first mentioned in 962 and Nettesheim for the first time in 1187. Since the 19th century Nettesheim-Butzheim has been a rural community of the mayor's office in Nettesheim in the Neuss district . Since 1929 the community has belonged to the district of Grevenbroich-Neuss , which since 1946 has been known as the district of Grevenbroich . On January 1, 1975 Nettesheim-Butzheim was incorporated into the municipality of Rommerskirchen by the Düsseldorf Act .
