The new cross street is a street of Lübeck .

The approximately 60-meter-long Neue Querstraße is located in the so-called founding quarter of the old town island, in the Marien Quartier . It connects the Alfstrasse with the Fischstrasse .
history
Together with Bierspünderstraße , Neue Querstraße is one of only two streets in Lübeck's old town that were completely rebuilt after the Second World War and have no historical predecessors. It was added to the street grid in the 1950s during the reconstruction of the so-called founding district between Marienkirche and Trave , which was almost completely destroyed in the bombing of March 29, 1942 . Since the Ulrich-Gabler-Haus was built on the corner of Alfstrasse / Schüsselbuden in 2011–2013, Neue Querstrasse in the direction of Alfstrasse has been a dead end.
The name, which it received in 1953, is based on the names of the streets that represent the cross-connections between the streets leading down to the Trave, such as the Seventh Cross Street or the Straight Cross Street .
