Neuenkrug is a residential area in the Viereck community of the Uecker-Randow-Tal district in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

geography

The place is 600 meters northwest of the district Viereck and 6 kilometers northeast of Pasewalk . Neighboring towns are Stallberg in the north, Ernst-Thälmann-Siedlung in the northeast, Uhlenkrug in the east, Viereck in the southeast, Friedberg in the south, Belling in the west and Sandförde and Liepe in the northwest.

history

In a work from 1820, the place was recorded as "Revierförsterei bei Torgelow in Pomerania" with a total of 32 inhabitants.

In 1932 the place of residence was part of the former municipality of Neuenkruger Revier in the Ueckermünde district in the Pomerania province . The community of Neuenkruger Revier, which was incorporated into Viereck after the Second World War , also included the current residential areas of Kuhlmorgen, Riesenbrück, Rödershorst, Stallberg and Uhlenkrug.

Neuenkrug was also the seat of the former Neuenkrug office, whose district included the communities of Neuenkruger Revier and Viereck.
