The Neo-Gothic Friedhofskapelle Odenkirchen is in the district Odenkirchen in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), Kirchhofstraße 42nd

The building was built in 1900 to replace the old cemetery chapel , which had become too small . It was entered under No. K 081 on March 14, 1990 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

location

The chapel is located on the northwestern edge of the Protestant cemetery of Odenkirchen.

architecture

It is a cubic building with a square floor plan under a hipped roof. A "central nave" only slightly pushed forward in each case. These form a cross-shaped floor plan.

The central nave on the east side with two lancet arched windows under staggered, pointed-arched blind windows , flanked by brick wall templates or under the stepped wall template on the inside of the sloping cornice crowned with a rudimentary stepped gable . A lancet arched window on each side with double-wing access to the mortuary hall .
