Neumalsch is a district of Malsch and has around 600 inhabitants. It is located on the B3 between Karlsruhe and Rastatt and west of the parent community of Malsch.

geography

The village lies entirely on the high bank . To the west, towards Durmersheim , large areas are covered with the Hardt Forest.

economy

To the east of the A5 is a large industrial area that is important for the local economy. There are also three quarry ponds , two of which are still in operation.

Personalities

  • Joseph Augenstein was a German local politician from Malsch who was embroiled in the turmoil of the Baden Revolution . The Augenstein family moved to Neumalsch in 1801, where Joseph grew up. Even today, therefore, Neumalsch is often incorrectly given as the place of birth instead of Malsch.
