New Scientific Times (short form NST ) was a German-language magazine for the subjects of paleo-SETI , SETI , UFO research , archeology , research and technology. It was published quarterly between 1995 and 1996 by the Discover publishing house in Langenthal.

The editorial team of New Scientific Times was supported by freelancers in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and the United States. In addition, well-known authors such as Johannes Fiebag , Peter Krassa , Walter-Jörg Langbein , Lars A. Fischinger , Hartwig Hausdorf , Luc Bürgin , Andreas von Rétyi , Roland Roth, Hans-Werner Sachmann and Gisela Ermel published numerous specialist articles in the New Scientific Times.

New Scientific Times emerged from the lay magazine Discover in July 1995 and pursued a commercial orientation through distribution through the Swiss magazine trade. Since sales and subscriptions never reached the expected numbers, the magazine had to be discontinued in July 1996 after five issues.
