Perre is a municipality in northern Portugal .
history
A fortified settlement of the Castro culture existed here , which was probably built by the arriving Romans in the 1st century BC. Was romanized. Significant amphora finds have been made at the excavation site in Vieito. The place was probably repopulated during the Reconquista . In the royal surveys of 1258 Perre is already listed as an independent municipality.
