Johannes Fiebag (born March 14, 1956 in Northeim ; † October 11, 1999 ) was a German writer , geologist , science journalist and ufologist .

Life

Johannes Fiebag studied geology , paleontology and physics at the University of Würzburg and received his doctorate in geology in 1988 with a dissertation on the Azuara crater, of which he was one of the discoverers. He published several papers on meteorite craters and the genesis of impact structures, which have also appeared in various geological and planetological journals. After completing his studies, he initially worked as a geologist in environmental protection and since 1991 has been a freelance writer and publicist . In the area of pre-astronautics / paleo-SETI research , he was among other things editor-in-chief of the magazine “Ancient Skies” (later “Fabled Times”), as a scientific advisor for frontier science authors such as Erich von Däniken and Rainer Holbe , as a freelancer for the Magazines " PM Magazin " and " Hobby " as well as a consultant for Rainer Holbe's "Fantastic Phenomena" and "Incredible Stories".

In his books he puts forward the thesis that the Marian apparitions of Fátima could have been a contact with extraterrestrial UFO inmates, and Fiebag also considered the " Holy Grail " to be an extraterrestrial " Manna machine". This was once Moses handed over to the care of the Israelites and the Ark of the Covenant was kept and was ostensibly to 1109 by the Templars during excavations under the Temple of Solomon rediscovered in Jerusalem.

Other works dealt with so-called "Abductions" ( kidnapping by aliens ) and sexual contact with UFO inmates. Fiebag was one of the representatives of pre-astronautics (referred to by him as "Paleo-SETI"), a para-science that postulates visits by aliens in the past. To give the topic credibility, he invited scientists such as the physicist and biochemist Francis Crick , the astrophysicist Fred Hoyle , the philosopher Pascal Schievella or the physicist and ufologist James Deardorff to contribute to his anthology "From the depths of space". However, this was already controversial because it appeared in the right-wing extremist Hohenrain Verlag ; Despite heavy criticism, Fiebag did not hesitate to publish two more works in this publishing house. His works have been translated into 18 languages.

"In recognition of his objective-critical investigations", Johannes Fiebag and his brother Peter Fiebag were awarded the Dr. A. Hedri Prize of the now dissolved Swiss Hedri Foundation for achievements in the field of parasciences .
