The administrative community Reinhardsbrunn was a corporation under public law in the Thuringian district of Gotha . It was formed on March 8, 1994 by the communities of Ernstroda and Finsterbergen and the city of Friedrichroda to handle their administrative business together. It was named after the house monastery of the Landgraves of Thuringia in Reinhardsbrunn , on the ruins of which Reinhardsbrunn Castle was built in 1827.
In the three municipalities of the administrative community lived 7,893 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2004), they covered an area of 36.90 km². The seat of the administrative community was the town hall in Friedrichroda . The last chairman before the dissolution was Monika Siede.
The administrative community Reinhardsbrunn was dissolved on December 1, 2007, when the two communities Ernstroda and Finsterbergen were incorporated into the city of Friedrichroda on the same date.
