In the administrative community of Nesse-Apfelstädt-Gemeinde , located between the cities of Erfurt , Gotha and Arnstadt , from the district of Gotha in Thuringia , four communities were united to handle their administrative business.

The administrative community was founded on April 9, 1994. All four parishes agreed on January 7th, 2009 to form a common parish called Nesse-Apfelstädt . This merger took effect on December 1, 2009.

The seat of the administrative community was Neudietendorf .
