The New Zealand Football Association (NZF) was founded in 1891 under the name New Zealand Soccer . The name change from soccer to football took place in 2007.
In 1948, the NZF joined the world football association FIFA . In 1966 he was a founding member of the Oceanic Football Association, the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC).
The head office is in Albany . The seven regional associations belong to the NFZ.
The top division for men is the ASB Premiership .
