Nic Vogel (2019)

Nic Peter Vogel (born March 13, 1967 in Düsseldorf ) is a German politician ( AfD ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 and was a non-attached MP between March and May 2020 before rejoining the AfD parliamentary group.

Vogel was a self-employed bookseller and ran a comics shop in Düsseldorf until 2017 .

Vogel is deputy chairman of the AfD district association in Düsseldorf and has been a councilor in the city council of Düsseldorf since June 26, 2014 .

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he ran as a direct candidate in constituency 41 (Düsseldorf II) and in ninth place on the AfD state list. He was elected to the state parliament via the list.

Vogel is the transport policy spokesman for the AfD NRW.

On March 10, 2020 Vogel announced his resignation from the parliamentary group for personal reasons. Vogel also announced that he wanted to remain a non-attached member of the state parliament as an AfD member, while the parliamentary group asked him to return the mandate. He has been a member of the AfD parliamentary group again since May 19, 2020.
