Nick Blood (born March 20, 1982 in London , England ) is a British actor . He is best known for his role as Lance Hunter in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD (since 2014). He is also the founder, creative director and author of the theater company Good, Best, Better , which produces short films and television series, together with Ben Deery .

career

Nick Blood attended a theater company from the age of seven. There he quickly realized that he wanted to be an actor, so after graduating from school he studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). After completing his training, he founded the theater group WE with Tom McCall, whom he met at LAMDA . BUY. GOLD . Her first program, Inches Apart , won the Old Vic New Voices Theatre503 Award in 2009 and was then professionally staged at Theatre503. In the same year he made his own professional stage debut as an actor in The Priory at the Royal Court Theater . This was followed in 2010 as Sordido in the play Women Beware Women , which was staged at the Royal National Theater , and in 2011, the lead role Stuart Sutcliffe in the West End production Backbeat .

Blood first appeared in front of the camera in 2009 in the crime series The Bill . Subsequently, from 2010 onwards he played in many television series in recurring roles, for example in the lead role Alex in Material Girl . He had a longer leading role from 2011 to 2013 as the butcher Kieran in the first three seasons and the first Christmas special of the comedy series Trollied . In the miniseries Babylon (2014) he took on the role of Officer Warwick in seven episodes . Since the second season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD he has played one of the leading roles there as Lance Hunter .

He studied electric bass for a role and joined the band Shaaark . In the computer role-playing games Dragon Age: Inquisition and Vampyr he had speaking roles.
