Nick Nieland
Nick Nieland (actually Nicholas Peter Russell Nieland ; born January 31, 1972 in Truro ) is a former British javelin thrower .
He had his greatest successes at the Commonwealth Games: Starting for England , he won bronze in Manchester in 2002 and gold in Melbourne in 2006 .
He started three times at the Olympic Games ( 1996 in Atlanta , 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens ) and four times at the World Athletics Championships ( 1997 in Athens , 1999 in Seville , 2001 in Edmonton and 2005 in Helsinki ), but never got over the Qualification addition. At the European Athletics Championships in 2006 in Gothenburg he was eleventh.
In 1996, 2005 and 2006 he was English champion and in 2007 British champion. He set his best length of 85.09 m on August 13, 2000 in Birmingham .
