Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Pitera (born March 7, 1986 in Woodbury , Minnesota ) is an American singer who gained attention through his YouTube videos.

Life

From 1990 he lived in Waterloo , Belgium for 4 years . Nick Pitera currently works as an animator at Pixar Studios .

Pitera was also a guest with Ellen DeGeneres , where he sang the song from Disney's Aladdin , "A Whole New World", which earned him the most attention on YouTube.

He released his first own single "Better Days" on iTunes and Amazon on December 4th, 2012.

Pitera received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation from the Ringling College of Art and Design.

Singing style

Pitera is known for his changeable voice, with which he achieves feminine vocal heights through falsetto , through his cover of the two-part Disney song "A Whole New World", in which he sings both voices, alternating between the part of Jasmine and that of Aladdin . He started singing when he was four.

Youtube video appearances

In 2006 he created his YouTube account / channel under the pseudonym “goonieman86”. In 2007 he published the most famous of his videos, with tens of millions of hits.

In 2011, Pitera released his “One Man Disney Movie” in the “Brady Bunch” grid style ”; an eight-minute compilation of film musicals from various fairy tales, such as "Beauty and the Beast" and "Verwünscht", with the roles of heroes and heroines, villains, buddies and choirs.

In 2012 Pitera released a medley cover of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "One Man Phantom of the Opera" and "One Man Les Miserables".
