Nicolás Correa , full name Nicolás Correa Risso , (born December 25, 1983 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The defender Correa, who is 1.80 meters or 1.83 meters tall, depending on the sources , was at the beginning of his career since the Apertura 2002 in the ranks of the then second division Alianza Fútbol Club . There he played 13 games (no goal) in the Segunda División in the 2002 season . In the Apertura 2003 17 more second division appearances followed (three goals). In 2004 he was still part of the squad of the club, which is now playing in the amateur league. Side of the 2005 midseason he played for the first division club Liverpool Montevideo, which is also based in Montevideo . In the 2008/09 season he scored three goals in the Primera División . In August 2009 he then moved to Unión de Santa Fe . With the Argentines he ran in the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10 in 31 (five goals) and 32 (one goal) matches of the Primera B Nacional . 2011/12 and 2012/13 followed two years in the Argentine Primera División , in which he completed 34 (one goal) and 37 (two goals) first division games. In the 2013/14 season he came 17 more times (five goals) in the Primera B Nacional to train. He finally moved during the current season at the beginning of January 2014 on loan back to Defensor Sporting in Montevideo . There he contributed with twelve appearances (one goal) in the Copa Libertadores 2014 to the extremely successful performance of the club, whose path in this competition only ended in the semi-finals. By the end of the 2013/14 season, he also played in seven games (no goal) in the Primera División. In the Apertura 2014 he was used seven times (no goal) in the top Uruguayan league. In January 2015 he joined the Argentine club Arsenal de Sarandí . With the Argentines he completed seven games (no goal) in the Primera División. He then returned to Uruguay and continued his career at Club Atlético Cerro from mid-July 2015 . In the Apertura 2015 he played 14 first division matches there and scored two goals. In mid-January 2016 he moved to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy . At the Argentine club he was used in 20 league games (no goal) and one game in the Copa Argentina - each without a personal goal . At the beginning of July 2016 he returned to Defensor Sporting and played 15 top division games (no goal) in the 2016 season.
