Nicol von Schönberg

Nicol von Schönberg , also modernized Nikol von Schönberg (born January 3, 1603 in Wingendorf ; † September 14, 1659 in Freiberg ), was an electoral Saxon chief and district tax collector as well as a manor owner .

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Schönberg and was the son of Nicol / Nickel von Schönberg († 1612) and his wife Anna.

Like many of his family members, he embarked on an administrative career in the service of the Wettins after private lessons . He went to the court in Dresden , where he rose to the position of electoral Saxon chief and district tax collector.

The funeral sermon given by the Freiberg pastor and superintendent Sebastian Gottfried Starck on the occasion of his solemn burial was published by Georg Beuther in Freiberg.

family

Nicol von Schönberg married Lucretia von Schönberg from the Mittelfrohna line on November 16, 1636 . She was born there on May 13, 159 (?) And died on July 16, 1668 in the mountain town of Freiberg .

From this marriage there were four children, three daughters and the son Caspar von Schönberg. All children died in infancy or adolescence.
