Nicolae Bozdog

Nicolae Bozdog (born July 23, 1921 in Bucharest ; † 2002 ibid) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party (Partidul Comunist Român - PCR) , who was Minister of Internal Trade between 1969 and 1972, among other things.

Life

Nicolae Bozdog attended the Marele Voievod Mihai grammar school from 1933 to 1941 and then began studying at the Commercial Academy (Academia de Înalte Studii Comerciale și Industriale) , which he had to interrupt from 1942 to 1945 because of military service. He continued his studies in 1946 and graduated in 1947, whereupon he became an economist in the General Directorate for Economic Control in November 1947. He was then an economist on the State Planning Committee from 1948 to April 1954 and director of the planning department of the Ministry of Commerce between April 1954 and June 1961, before he was Secretary General of the Ministry of Commerce from June 29, 1961 to March 1962. He then acted as Vice Minister for Internal Trade between March 1962 and February 14, 1967, and then became President of the College of the National Bureau of Tourism on February 14, 1967.

On May 13, 1969, Bozdog took over the office of Minister for Internal Trade (Ministrul comerțului interior) in the Maurer V cabinet and held this ministerial post until October 13, 1972, when Virgil Trofin succeeded him. At the tenth party conference of the PCR (6 to 12 August 1969) he became a candidate for the Central Committee (ZK) of the PCR. After leaving the cabinet, he served as First Vice Minister for Internal Trade between October 23, 1972 and May 26, 1980. At the Eleventh Party Congress of the PCR (November 24 to 27, 1974) he became a member of the Central Committee (ZK) of the PCR and belonged to this body until the Twelfth Party Congress of the PCR (November 19 to 23, 1979) . His last position was from May 26, 1980 to January 29, 1987, Vice-Minister for the technical and material supply and control of fixed management resources. In addition, he also acted as general director of the headquarters for the recovery and capitalization of reusable materials. He has received several awards for his many years of service, including the Order of August 23, Second Class (Ordinul August 23) and the Star of the Socialist Republic of Romania, Fourth Class (Ordinul Steaua Republicii Socialiste Romania) in 1984 .
