Nicolas Mathieu
Nicolas Mathieu (born June 2, 1978 in Épinal ) is a French writer and the winner of the Prix Goncourt 2018.
biography
Nicolas Mathieu comes from Golbey , a municipality north of Épinal in the Vosges department . He studied sociology at the University of Metz . There he completed a thesis on Terrence Malick with Jean-Marc Leveratto. He published his first novel Aux animaux la guerre in 2014 . The novel was adapted for a six-part television series by France 3 in 2018 . This was followed in 2018 by the novel Leurs enfants après eux (German: How later your children ), which was awarded the Prix Goncourt .
