Nicolas Roth (born August 28, 1990 in Würzburg ) is a German football player .

Career

Nico Roth grew up in Alzenau in Lower Franconia and played for the nearby Viktoria Aschaffenburg until the age of 15 . Then he moved to the ambitious youth department of SpVgg Greuther Fürth . After the junior period, two years followed in the second team of the Middle Franconia, which played in the regional league. However, he did not make the leap to the professional team in the 2nd Bundesliga, also because he recently missed half of the season due to illness.

For the 2011/12 season he then received an offer from SV Wehen Wiesbaden , whose managing director had previously worked in Fürth and knew Nico Roth from that time and wanted to sign as a prospective player. The versatile midfielder moved to Hessen and started the season in the second team in the Hessenliga. As a substitute for the professionals of the SVWW, he got his first chance as a defender after the failure of two full-backs on matchday 12 of the 3rd division. He proved himself over 90 minutes and was then used in the following games in the first team.

For the 2012/2013 season, Roth moved to the regional league for SV Waldhof Mannheim .
