Markus Smarzoch (born April 14, 1990 in Freising ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Markus Smarzoch played in his youth up to U-17 at SSV Jahn Regensburg and in U-19 at SC Regensburg . His first position in the senior business was the Free TuS Regensburg in the sixth class state league , with which he was promoted to the Bavarian League in 2010. For the 2010/11 season Smarzoch had signed a contract with DJK Vilzing , but since Regensburg managed to get promoted and two strikers left the club at short notice, he stayed with Freie TuS because of the better sporting perspective. This season he was finally a regular player, but could not prevent relegation despite his six goals this season.

In 2011 Smarzoch returned to his former club SSV Jahn Regensburg. There he first played in the second team again only in the national league, but scored 16 goals in 27 games. He was then included in the squad of the first team in the 3rd division . On October 29, 2011 he completed his first professional appearance, he was substituted on in the 1: 2 defeat at Kickers Offenbach shortly before the end. In 2012 Markus Smarzoch was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with Jahn , and he made his first appearance in the second division on February 10, 2013 in a 2-0 win at VfL Bochum . In 2014 he extended his contract with Jahn for another year. In January 2015 he dissolved his contract and moved to the Regionalliga West for SV Rödinghausen . In the summer of 2016 Smarzoch went back to his homeland Bavaria and joined the Bayern league club TSV Bogen . At the end of August, his contract was canceled for professional reasons and Smarzoch went to the district division FC Viehhausen. For the following season 2017/18 he moved back to the Bayern League and joined ASV Neumarkt .

In addition to his career at Jahn, Markus Smarzoch is studying mechatronics at the OTH Regensburg .
