Nicolas Schöffer
Nicolas Schöffer (born September 6, 1912 in Kalocsa , Hungary ; † January 8, 1992 in Paris ) was a contemporary French sculptor and sculptor of Hungarian origin. He is considered the father of cybernetic art . From 1981 Schöffer was a member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts .

Nicolas Schöffer worked with different elements of dynamics:
- since 1948: Spatiodynamics (integration of space into the sculpture)
- since 1957: Luminodynamics (integration of light, music, film, ...)
- since 1959: chronodynamics (focus on time)
Works
- Nicolas Schöffer participated in documenta II (1959) and documenta III in 1964 in Kassel .
- In 1968 alderman for Gian Carlo Menotti's opera Help, Help, created the Globolinks
- In 1973 Kyldex I, cybernetic luminodynamic experiments , a joint work with Pierre Henry and Alwin Nikolais, was staged for the first time.
