Nicole Lyn

Nicole Stephanie Danielle Lyn (born February 24, 1978 in Brampton , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Lyn was born in Brampton as the daughter of the African - Jamaican Cheryl Gabay and the Chinese- Jamaican Peter Lyn. At the age of 3, she began taking dance lessons at the National Ballet School in her hometown. She started modeling a short time later and has appeared in commercials in both Canada and the United States . At the age of 10 she attended the Claude Watson School for the Arts and got her first roles in Canadian television series such as Ramona . At the age of 14, she went to Mandeville , Jamaica with her parents for three years , attended Bellaire High School and consequently withdrew from the acting business for this time.

Shortly after her return to Canada, she got a role in the comedy series Student Bodies . After that engagement ended, Lyn moved to Los Angeles in 2000 . There she met her future husband, the actor Dulé Hill , whom she married on July 10, 2004 in Jamaica . Both families are from Jamaica. In the later years, Lyn also appeared alongside her husband on his series The West Wing and Psych . Hill filed for divorce in late 2012.
