Nicotiana azambujae is a plant type from the genus tobacco ( Nicotiana ) in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).
description
Nicotiana azambujae is an herbaceous plant that is more or less sticky hairy. The stems are elongated, almost upright and slender. The leaves are perched on the stem, but not descending, inversely lanceolate and pointed towards the front and somewhat eyed. They become 18 cm long and 6 cm wide.
The inflorescences are loose bunches that can grow up to 36 cm long. The flower stalks are fine and 4 mm long on the flower and 6 mm long on the fruit. The calyx is narrow, bell-shaped, 7 mm long and deeply lobed. The lobes are linear, pointed and more than twice as long as the calyx tube. The crown is red-purple, the corolla tube is narrow, inversely conical and 9 mm long. It is inflated at the top. The coronet has a diameter of 10 mm and is covered with broad, egg-shaped, rounded lobes. The stamens are irregular and do not protrude beyond the crown.
