Niederdorf is a Kirchdorf the community Wolfertschwenden in the district of Unterallgäu in Bavaria .

The church village of Niederdorf is a little more than a kilometer north of Wolfertschwenden, at an altitude of 663 m above sea level. NN .
history
The name Niederdorf was not used until the end of the Middle Ages. Before that, Niederdorf was called Wolfertschwenden like the neighboring town, only rarely was a distinction made between Oberwolfertschwenden (today's Wolfertschwenden) and Unterwolfertschwenden (Niederdorf). In a bull by Pope Eugen III. was mentioned in 1152 monastery property of the monastery Ottobeuren in Niederdorf.
A church in Niederdorf was first mentioned in 1167 when Abbot Isingrim gave a reliquary . Today the church of St. Cyriacus, Largus and Smaragdus stands in Niederdorf and was consecrated on May 9th, 1710.
On July 1, 1972, the previously independent place was incorporated into the community of Wolfertschwenden.
