history
Dietratried was first mentioned in a document in 1365. In a document dated January 24, 1365, the sale of Wald bei Dietratried to the Memmingen Unterhospital is mentioned. In the 14th century the monastery in Ottobeuren also owned Dietratried. However, this property did not cover the entire village, including the Memmingen family of the Leutkircher property in Dietratried, as did the Memmingen citizen Diepolt Zwicker in 1424. However, in 1433 he sold his property to the Ottobeuren monastery.
A church in Dietratried was mentioned as early as 1167. This bears the patronage of John the Baptist and is called St. John Baptist . In Dietratried there is also a Zehentstadel from the 18th century.
On July 1, 1972, the previously independent place was incorporated into the community of Wolfertschwenden.
