Niedermühle Büren
The listed Niedermühle is a water mill built in 1537 in Büren in the Paderborn district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
history
The mill, built in 1537, burned down completely in 1922. It was then rebuilt and operated until the middle of the 20th century. Together with the middle mill , it is one of two historical mills still preserved in the urban area of Büren.
Todays use
As part of an urban renewal program, the Niedermühle was given a new extension from 2004 to 2006. In the current culture and meeting center in Niedermühle, concerts and other activities take place at various intervals. During the school summer holidays, the mill also houses the summer holiday cinema. In addition, the mill is used all year round by the Büren Singing Association as a practice room.
