Nikolai Kaubiš (born May 5 . Jul / 18th May  1916 greg. In Yamburg , Russian Empire ; † 21st May 1977 in Pärnu , Estonian SSR ) was an Estonian footballer .

Career

Nikolai Kaubiš was born in 1916 in the city ​​of Jamburg, which was part of the Russian Empire, to today's Kingissepp . He completed his schooling in 1934 at a Russian high school in Narva . In his spare time, he played athletics and volleyball in addition to soccer .

At least in the years 1936 to 1938 Kaubiš was active as a football player in the Estonian football championship . For the Narva THK (THK stands for tennis and hockey club) he was able to score 12 goals in the 1937/38 season and was the third-best goalscorer behind Johannes Niks and Heinrich Uukkivi .

In August 1936, Kaubiš played three times in the Estonian national team , including two matches at the Baltic Cup in 1936 in Latvia . He didn't get a hit.

As a soldier, Kaubiš fought on the German side in World War II . From 1944 to 1950 he was housed as a prisoner of war in the Soviet Union .

After his return, Kaubiš trained from 1951 to 1958 Pärnu Kalev .
