Nikolaus Krasa

Nikolaus Krasa (born June 30, 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic priest . Since 2011 he has been Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Vienna .

Life

After attending the Schottengymnasium in Vienna , Krasa first studied physics and mathematics at the University of Vienna , but began studying theology in 1980 and entered the Vienna seminary the following year . From 1983 to 1986 he was a study assistant at the Institute for New Testament Biblical Studies at the University of Vienna. After his ordination in 1987, he worked for four years as a chaplain in the Vienna Kalvarienbergkirche . The next two years he studied biblical studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and worked in a Roman parish. He then became a tutor in the Vienna seminary, as well as auxiliary chaplain in the parishes of Ebreichsdorf and Weigelsdorf . In addition, he began a dissertation in Old Testament biblical studies, which he completed in 2004.

In 1995 he became pastor of the parish Jedlesee , in 2002 dean of the city ​​dean's office 21 . From 2003 to 2010 he was Regens of the Vienna seminary.
