Nils Bickhoff

Nils Bickhoff (* 1969 ) is a German management consultant and book author . He is the founder of the Quintessential Strategies group.

Career

Nils Bickhoff has a degree in business administration and has a degree in business administration from the University of Hamburg . During his studies he worked for the management consultancy Roland Berger , where he began his consultancy career in 1995. There he specialized in the functional areas of strategy , brand , organization and financing . While working, he completed Roland Berger's doctoral program and obtained his doctorate in 1999 with Karl-Werner Hansmann .

Over the years he has advised a large number of national and international customers and most recently was also responsible for the company-wide research and development activities (R&D) of the management consultancy. As part of these activities, he was also intensively involved at international universities, initiated start-up competitions, held guest lectures and initiated exchange programs.

Until the end of 2008 he was co-owner of the company Nissen Bickhoff Carstensen, which was founded at the beginning of 2005 and provided a combination of integrated consulting and agency services. At the beginning of 2009, based on his approach to developing rule-breaking strategies, he founded the Quintessential Strategies Group, which advises top managers on all issues of strategic corporate and brand management.

In 2003 Nils Bickhoff was voted one of the “101 heads to look out for” by the Financial Times . He is the author and publisher of several management books as well as editor of the Springer book series “Quintessenz”. His book “Quintessenz des strategic Managements” was selected in the top 10 of German business books in 2008 and is now available in six languages. In 2010 the English version was published in co-authorship with Philip Kotler and Roland Berger . Since 2003 Nils Bickhoff also has a teaching position for Strategic Management at the University of Hamburg. In his lecture , he interlinks theory and practical knowledge and thus promotes the students' understanding of transfer for real situations.

Since 2010 he has been Professor of Strategy and Marketing at the Euro-FH , where he was also Vice President for University Development for 5 years. Until 2016, Nils Bickhoff was a personal member of the Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein State Board of Trustees in the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft . Since 2016 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of brand eins Medien AG.
