Nils Haßfurther (born May 18, 1999 in Bamberg ) is a German basketball player . He is in the squad of S.Oliver Würzburg .
career
Haßfurther began his basketball club career in the U9 of the TTL Bamberg. In 2013 he won the German championship in the U14 age group with Upper Franconia. Via the stations TSV Breitengüßbach and Regnitztal Baskets, he landed at the Nürnberg Falcons BC in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in summer 2016 . In order to gain more experience, he was initially used thanks to a double license in the Herzogenaurach gymnastics club in the first regional league. In the 2018/19 season he was on the field for the Nuremberg team in 37 ProA games, posted average values of 7.5 points, 3.2 basket assists and two rebounds per match and, as a runner-up, achieved the athletic promotion to basketball with the team -Bundesliga . The Nürnbergers were denied the Bundesliga license, however, and Haßfurther switched to Bundesliga club S.Oliver Würzburg in summer 2019 .
National team
Haßfurther was part of the German team at the U18 European Championship 2017 in Slovakia . At the beginning of June 2018 he was appointed to the U20 national team, with whom he won bronze at the home European championship in Chemnitz a month later and averaged 4.7 points per tournament game. He showed his best tournament performance in the semi-finals against Croatia when he scored 15 points. In 2019 he was called up to the U20 national team and won the bronze medal at the European Championships in July 2019.
