Nils Rütten (born July 20, 1995 in Würselen ) is a former German professional soccer player who is active as an amateur. The defensive midfielder plays for his hometown club Germania Bauchem in the district league C.

Career

Rütten was trained in Borussia Mönchengladbach's youth teams from the age of eight .

In the 2013/14 regional league season he was twice in the squad of the second team of foals and was a permanent member of it from the following season . At the end of the season they failed in the promotion games to the 3rd division at Werder Bremen II . In the 2016/17 season, the midfielder was introduced to the professional team coached by André Schubert and was part of the matchday squad twice in the Bundesliga , in the Champions League and in the DFB Cup . During his time in Mönchengladbach, the midfielder completed a trial session with the Scottish first division club FC Dundee , but did not change due to the poorer conditions.

Regional league competitor Bonn finally signed the Gladbach regular Rütten for two years in the summer of 2018. He was able to assert himself with the Rhinelanders right away, whereupon the crisis-plagued third division club Eintracht Braunschweig noticed him and committed him to a redesign in the following winter break. There he met his former sponsor Schubert again. After the league with the Eintracht Rütten dissolved his contract with the BTSV in order to be able to concentrate on his studies.

Parallel to his studies, Rütten has been playing as an amateur for his home club Germania Bauchem in the district league C Heinsberg since he ended his professional career.
