Ninjaspy is a Canadian experimental metal band that was formed in 2001 in Port Coquitlam , a suburb of Vancouver in British Columbia .

history

The band consists of the three brothers Joel, Tim and Adam Parent.

Their debut album Pi Nature was released in 2007 and was produced by Garth Richardson and Ben Kaplan and mixed by Bill Kennedy. Pi Nature was a big step for the band as they began touring Canada to promote the album. You toured with bands like Protest the Hero , Batoche , Whitey and What's He Building in There? .

On September 4, 2009, Ninjaspy announced that they had signed with the Japanese label Zestone Records and they would re- release their album Pi Nature there.

In 2009 Ninjaspy played in Calgary on Kevin Lyman's Taste of Chaos tour in Vancouver they stopped with the Vans Warped Tour in 2010 toured it for the first time with Death by Stereo and Lost by Japan .

In 2017 the band released another album , Spüken, produced by Garth Richardson

style

Ninjaspy describe their style as "skankore", or Hardcore - Ska with a unique sound that spans genres.

Live performance

Ninjaspy are known for their energetic, crazy, and fun live shows.

In a live review, CordMag said, "not a corner of the stage has been left untouched by the band's chaotic feet." CordMag also said, "Ninjaspy isn't exactly my kind of music, but it's fucking entertaining."
