Nissim Aloni ( Hebrew נסים אלוני; born August 24, 1926 in Tel Aviv ; died June 13, 1998 in Tel Aviv) was an Israeli dramaturge .

biography

Nissim Aloni, born as Nissim Levi , grew up as the son of Bulgarian-Jewish immigrants in poor conditions in the Florentin district in the south of Tel Aviv. After graduating from high school, he joined the Notrim , a police force trained and financed by the British. He fought in the Israeli War of Independence in 1948 , from which time he published stories in the soldiers' newspaper BaMachane . Aloni studied French culture and history at Jerusalem University . Then he lived in Paris for a year. On his return he wrote plays and directed. Together with Yossi Banai and Avner Hezkyahu, he founded a theater in 1963, which only existed for four years. He wrote some numbers for the satirical trio Hagashash Hachiver . He particularly appreciated the actress Hanna Rovina and dedicated the leading role to her in the play Aunt Lisa .

Works

Nissim Aloni wrote 13 plays and a few short stories. His drama Eddy King was made into a film.
