Cao Teng

Cao Teng ( Chinese  曹 腾 , Pinyin Cáo Téng ), court name (Zi) Jixing ( Chinese  季 兴 , Pinyin Jìxīng ), was a eunuch of the late Han dynasty . He served the four emperors Shun (125-144), Chong (144-145), Zhi (145-146) and Huan (146-168) as harem guardians and rose to the highest eunuch rank of his time, Dachangqiu ( 大 長 秋 ) .

Cao Teng, son of a Cao Jie ( 曹 節 ), had no biological children for reasons of class. He adopted a son, Cao Song , who later became the father of Warlord Cao Cao . From his successor Cao Pi , the first emperor of the Wei dynasty , Cao Teng received the posthumous title of Emperor Gao ( ) von Wei
