The Nive River is a river in the south of the Australian state of Queensland .

It rises on the western slopes of Mount Playfair south of the Salvador Rosa Section of Carnarvon National Park and flows west to about 12 km north of the Manning settlement . There it turns its course to the south, passes the town of Augathella in the east and flows into the Warrego River near the small town of Barduthalla south of Augathella .

Its main tributary is the Nivelle River .
