The Nixon Fork is an approximately 100 km long left tributary of the Takotna River in the southwestern interior of Alaska .

The Nixon Fork arises at the confluence of Von Frank Creek (17 km, right) and Whirlwind Creek (16 km, left) in the north of the Kuskokwim Mountains at an altitude of 279  m . From there it flows in a south-westerly direction out of the mountains. After about 20 km it reaches a basin landscape, which it flows through in a south-westerly, later in a westerly and finally in a southerly direction. The Nixon Fork has numerous loops and oxbow lakes . The West Fork Nixon Fork meets the Nixon Fork when coming from the north. The Nixon Fork finally flows 9 km north of McGrath into the Takotna River, 25 km above its mouth into the Kuskokwim River . Nixon Fork Mine Airport is 9 km south of the river .
