NoDrama is a Spanish alternative metal band from Leioa , which was founded in 2002 under the name Voodoo .
history
The band was founded in 2002 by the guitarist Iñigo Zorrilla and the drummer Nikola Goñi under the name Voodoo. In the search for new members, the singer Aimar Antxia, the guitarist Iker Llona and the bassist Xabier Altzugarai joined the band. In 2005 Iñigo Zorrilla left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by Koldo Gorozika, who had previously played in another band called Iraina . Due to this change, the band decided to restart and renamed themselves NoDrama, under which they released the demo ... Before Mind in 2006, which they distributed themselves. In early 2007 the band went into the studio, where they began recording I Mind , another demo, which was released a year later under Fragment Records . Due to the positive response from the press, the band gained greater popularity, as a result of which the band was able to book concerts with Cynic or Whitesnake . After a long break in which the band devoted themselves to composing new songs, the band returned in early April 2012 with their debut album The Patient , which they released on the Italian record label Coroner Records . After a joint European tour with Vicious Rumors and The Order of Chaos , bassist Xabier Altzugarai left the band. Then Hoyos joined the band for him and took over the second guitar, which is why Iker Llona switched from guitar to bass.
style
Characteristic for the band is the use of solos and double bass , jumping between different genres such as modern rock music , alternative , heavy and thrash metal . The band's music is described as a mix of Ill Niño , Incubus , Metallica , Killswitch Engage and Iron Maiden .
