No Blood No Tears ( Pido Nunmuldo Eobsi ) is a South Korean fictional film with martial arts elements directed by Ryoo Seung-wan from 2002. The director's second full-length fiction film tells the story of two underprivileged women who received cash from the honorable ones Stealing society and suffering all kinds of tortures for this.

action

The hardened ex-gangster bride Kyeong-seon, a middle-aged woman, makes ends meet as a taxi driver to pay off the gambling debts of her husband in hiding with the underworld boss Geum-bok. In addition, their bleak everyday life is threatened by bizarre debt collectors; her little daughter has also been missing for years. One day, Kyeong-seon's taxi is rammed by the lively singer Su-ji's sports car as she tries to escape her shabby friend Dok-bul, a beating ex-boxer and gang leader. The two women disadvantaged by fate find each other.

After some time, the two of them develop a plan out of chronic financial difficulties: They want to deprive the always disgruntled gang leader and competitor Dok-bul from the income from an illegal dogfighting event that he organizes for his boss Geum-bok. The tricky coup succeeds, but the duo is initially separated. Meanwhile, several people express interest in the stolen betting income. In addition to the horned Dok-bul, the underworld king Geum-bok, a trio of debilitating young gangsters and the local police try to seize the fugitive women. As a result, the individual groups fight each other in a partly opaque game of power and greed for money. In the end, almost all gangsters are killed. After exhausting arguments, the money stolen from Kyeong-seon and Su-ji is snatched from young gangsters.

At the end of the film, the destitute women dream of a happy future, unaware that part of the booty is hidden in their car.
