No ma'am

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The group No Ma'am is a fun faction within the Austrian student body .

history

According to their self-portrayal, the parliamentary group was founded in 1997 after a confrontation with the women's representative at the Austrian Students' Union at the University of Linz , who refused to serve one of the founding members at a cafeteria party because of a T-shirt label. The T-shirt label in question referred to a fictional misogynist organization in the television series A Terribly Nice Family . In the 2013 ÖH elections, the parliamentary group won a mandate in the federal representation of the ÖH for the first time. As a coalition partner of the AG , which has seven mandates, it appointed Nikolaus Doppelhammer as the deputy ÖH chairman of the University of Linz from June 2013.

Political positioning

According to its own statements, the parliamentary group has no university-political positions. The list sees its main task in ensuring the physical well-being and fun of the students, for example by organizing various party events.
