No Sign of Life (sometimes NSOL for short ) is a Finnish modern and melodic death metal band from Laukaa , which was founded in 2006.
history
The band was formed in 2006. In the following years, various demos and EPs were released . After the self-published debut album Chaotic Type of Reality in 2010, the second album followed in 2012 via Mighty Music with Embrace Your Demons . Through the distribution of Megarock Distribution from Sweden, the band was not only able to sell various records in Finland, but also in Japan .
style
JD from metalbite.com assigned the band to Melodic Death Metal in his review of Chaotic Type of Normality and described the music as a mixture of Alexisonfire , some November's Doom , Cancer Bats and a lot of We, the Undersigned from Canada . The songs have a chaotic character because the group tries to incorporate too many ideas into one song. Matthias Weckmann from Metal Hammer called the music of Embrace Your Demons Modern Metal, although the group uses many genres. A harsh vocals and "sawing" riffs would remind you of Diablo , while very melodic passages in the style of Pain of Salvation are used. However, the songs lack originality and songwriting quality.
