No Sinner is a Canadian band that moves stylistically between rock , soul and rhythm and blues . The band was called “A Band to watch 2014” by the American Classic Rock Magazine , while the German Rocks magazine certified that the vocals of singer Colleen Rennison have a dynamic similar to Amy Winehouse's and the spirit of Etta James .

history

Colleen Rennison sang in various Canadian cover bands as a teenager , but preferred to make his own music. When she couldn't achieve her vision, she moved to New York, where she took acting lessons. She also studied singing and performance at the Theater School Circle in the Square. There she was excluded from classes after a year because her voice was too deep for all female roles.

Rennison returned to Vancouver where she met former bassist for the band Hot Hot Heat , Parker Bossley. who wanted to establish himself as a songwriter at this time . The first song they wrote together, Boo Hoo Hoo, was released as a single in Canada in 2011 and was the eponymous part of the EP that the band released a little later in their home country. The band name is an anagram of the surname of singer Colleen Rennison.

In Europe, the group released a nine -track album in January 2014, also called Boo Hoo Hoo , which contains three other tracks in addition to the six songs released on the 2011 EP. Another album was already finished at this point; However, the release was planned for a later date to give the band the opportunity to gain prominence in Europe.
